Therapy with Teodora

EMDR

EMDR was developed, and is best known, as a therapy for treating trauma or post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD). It is an evidence-based approach that helps clients process and integrate distressing memories, reducing their emotional intensity and the impact on daily life. EMDR works by engaging both hemispheres of the brain through guided eye movements or other forms of bilateral stimulation, allowing the mind to reprocess traumatic experiences safely. Beyond trauma, EMDR can also be effective for anxiety, phobias, stress, burnout, and negative beliefs about oneself.
