My approach
About me
Modalities
I combine my knowledge of neuroscience, coaching, systemic and family consulting, philosophy and spirituality. I am fascinated by the many connections between the different self-development methods, which became the foundation of my holistic and informed approach to personal growth. I have been trained to use and integrate:
- Neuroscience
- Psychoanalysis (Object Relations)
- Systemic therapy (couples and family therapy), Emotionally Focused Therapy
- Somatic therapy
- CBT
- Hypnotherapy
- EMDR therapy
- Transpersonal therapy
There is no “one size fits all”, as each individual or couple is unique, so I design and tailor our sessions to your specific needs and goals.
Education
My academic path began with biological sciences, with a growing interest in how the brain and body shape behaviour, health, and experience.
Certificates
- Certificate in Integrative Therapy (practising under supervision)
- Certificate in Hypnotherapy
- Member of the Bulgarian Association for Integrative Therapy and Psychosomatics
- Certificate of Completion for Associate Designee for IAEDP
- Systemic interventions for couples going through a divorce
- Certificate of participation in the National Conference “Empowerment of the quiet stories of trust, support and humanity”
- Seminar “Speaking clearly and precisely, saying the difficult and hard things in therapy.”
Philosophy and style
People I work with would describe my style as “warm”, “soft” and “compassionate” while being direct about what I see. I put an emphasis on empathy and really getting to know you and your story. I provide a safe and non-judgemental space so you can share and explore your experiences and emotions. My goal is to bring new insight by sharing an informed perspective. I do not give advice or make decisions for you, but I will explore different courses of action with you and build a step-by-step plan.
My own healing journey helped me form genuine empathy for my clients’ challenges. However, what worked for me might not work for you.
I believe that you know what is best for you. My role is to support you in getting the information you need and connecting back to yourself more easily.
I believe that the success of coaching and therapy rests upon a collaborative partnership. My desire is that you are honest with yourself and willing to be vulnerable; that you are open to self-discovery and do not overlook any feeling, thought, or emotion which comes up. I encourage you to ask questions, give me feedback, or even disagree.
Ethics and quality
I hold deep respect for every person I work with, regardless of ethnic background, religion, sexual orientation, and beliefs. I respect and appreciate your uniqueness.
Ethics matter to me because I realise the impact my work can have on a person’s life. I treat the trust my clients put in me with care and responsibility. If you experience issues beyond my expertise, I will support you in finding a colleague who can help you better.
The quality of the services I provide matters greatly to me. I constantly work on increasing my knowledge and competency. I work under regular supervision and peer-to-peer learning.
About me
- I have over 3000 hours of clinical practice with clients: individuals, couples, and groups. I have worked with clients from every continent: Europe (UK, Germany, France, Spain, Bulgaria, Sweden, Norway, Greece, and more), North America (US and Canada), Australia, South America, Africa, and Asia.
- I am based in Sofia, Bulgaria. I have lived in the UK, Spain, and Sweden while I pursued my Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees.
- In addition to coaching, I have worked as a product manager. I am passionate about building products which leave a mark.
- I have co-authored a paper in the field of dementia: “Cholinergic dysfunction, neurodegeneration, and amyloid-beta pathology in neurodegenerative diseases”, which evaluates a novel biomarker of cholinergic dysfunction for early diagnosis of dementia.
- I did both my Bachelor’s and Master’s theses on Alzheimer’s disease and dementia. I volunteer for Alzheimer Bulgaria Association to raise awareness and challenge stigma. Alzheimer Bulgaria
- I love animals. I have a female dog.
- I believe in physical self-care through movement, sports, massage, meditation, and connecting to nature. I love strength training, boxing, tennis, hiking, and more.
- I love to travel. Travelling helps us expand mentally and emotionally, just as new experiences expand our emotional landscape.
- Like everyone else, I have had my own mental and emotional challenges. The belief that it is possible to transform your life — from feeling at rock bottom to peace, happiness, and resilience — comes from my own twenties and overcoming patterns like people-pleasing and codependency. My journey is not your journey, so I will not bring my history into our work.
- I believe in continuous learning and investment in self-development, both academically and personally. In this field, the more I develop as an individual, the greater my capacity is to be there for you.
